I'm reporting this Horned Grebe simply because of the fact that Cottonwood Marsh had 2 Horned Grebes that hung out for at least a week just a few weeks ago, and now here's another. This is a very unusual siting for Walden Ponds. Cottonwood Marsh has had a markedly different composition of waterfowl species generally this spring. I am curious what is different after having monitored this body of water for 10+ years. It has been suggested that it may have to do with the depth of the water.
