Went camping down at Lake Pueblo State Park earlier this week. Woke
up one morning to the most amazing song. First, a northern
mockingbird. I know that sound very well, having grown up down south
with mockingbird song often all night long in early summer. Then a
different song, yet somewhat similar. I got up and right outside in a
pinion tree the mockingbird and a curved-bill thrasher were trying to
decide who was going to own that tree. I got shots of both. You can
see them on my blog, birdsbybill. http://birdsbybill.blogspot.com/
