The Colorado Bluebird Project is looking for a volunteer to monitor a trail of 38 bluebird nestboxes along the Pony Express/South Platte River Trail. The nestboxes are along a 6-mile stretch of US 138 between Ovid and Julesburg. Some of the boxes usually harbor Eastern Bluebirds, many have Tree Swallows. Monitoring involves a weekly inspection of the contents of the boxes during the nesting season, documenting your observations, then end-of-season summarization of your results and posting them to Cornell's NestWatch database (which the Project can do for you if you're not keen on computer stuff). More info about the Project is on the Audubon Society of Greater Denver website at _www.denveraudubon.org/conservation/bluebird-project/_ (http://www.denveraudubon.org/conservation/bluebird-project/) Please contact me via direct email at [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) if you're interested. Thanks! Kevin Corwin west Centennial, Arapahoe County
