Hello, Birders.

This is a preliminary announcement regarding three exciting field surveys to be
conducted later this year by Colorado Field Ornithologists and The Nature
Conservancy in Colorado.

First up is an overnight survey for Black Rails at the private Brett Gray
Ranch, Lincoln County, June 1st-2nd, 2012. Also Connecticut Warbler and
Black-billed Cuckoo on nocturnal migration...  ;)

Second is a survey for Northern Waterthrushes at the private Carpenter Ranch,
Routt County, July 7th. Plus all the other great summertime birds of the dense
broadleaf woods along the Yampa River.

Third is a survey for Baird's Sparrows and other Ammodramus sparrows at the
private Fox Ranch, Oct. 6th. And other seasonal stuff (Sprague's Pipit quite
possible; various eastern vagrants always possible).

All surveys are limited to ten (10) birders who are CFO members. All surveys
are on private lands, requiring prior permission for access. Pack-in, pack-out
primitive camping. Please contact me offline (I'm [email protected]), and
I'll get you signed up and ready to go.
