Hiked from Island Grove trailhead until 25th Avenue. Total of 39 species, highlights were: Hermit Thrush Common Yellowthroat Yellow-rumped Warbler House Wren Blue-winged Teal (3-first time I've seen them on trail) Snowy Egret Black-crowned Night Heron Chipping, Vesper Sparrow Say's Phoebe Cliff, Bank, Barn Swallow Great Horned Owl mobbed by seven magpies A lot of the adjacent gravel pits being expanded--lots of pelicans (40-ish) sitting on rocks in one of them.
