Adams County:
--A pair of WHITE IBIS was reported by Pollock flying NE over 35th and
Tower Road on April 29.

Bent County:
--A KENTUCKY WARBLER was reported by Duane Nelson at Van's Grove on May 1.
 Van's Grove is half way between CR 16 & CR 19 on the north side of CR JJ.
 The warbler was associating with Chipping Sparrows.

Boulder County:
--A calling Eastern Phoebe was reported by Tumasonis along the irrigation
ditch by Twin Lakes on April 28.
--A breeding plumaged f Long-tailed Duck was reported by Nunes in the NW
corner of Boulder Reservoir early in the morning on April 29.  It was
associating with Redheads.
--A GLOSSY IBIS was reported by Nunes at Cottonwood Marsh on April 29.

Custer County:
--A f Summer Tanager was reported by Rich Miller at DeWeese Reservoir SWA
next to the dam on April 30.

Dolores County:
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Dunmire in Dolores River Canyon on
May 1.  It was in heavy brush at 4.5 miles north of Bradfield Bridge CG.
 Access is on a rough trail that follows the river from the CG.

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--A Summer Tanager was reported by Walbek on May 3 at Chatfield SP east of
Plum Creek foot bridge singing occasionally.

El Paso County:
--At Big Johnson, Peterson reported a possible NEOTROPIC CORMORANT and
Red-necked Grebe on May 1.  The grebe was transitioning into alternate
plumage.  On May 2, Goff refound the Red-necked Grebe at Big Johnson.

El Paso/Pueblo Counties:
Chico Basin Ranch which is a fee area.
--A Harris's Sparrow was banded at Chico Basin Ranch by Gobris on April 30.
--Brown reported that a Worm-eating Warbler was banded at Chico Basin Ranch
on May 1.
--On May 2, Percival reported by the banding station (El Paso) Worm-eating
Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, Nashville Warbler, and m Golden-winged
Warbler.   By HQ (Pueblo) on May 2, Percival reported Northern Waterthrush.
--On May 3, Percival reported a singing Eastern Towhee and Northern
Waterthrush at HQ (Pueblo).  On May 3, by the banding station (*El Paso)
Percival reported a Golden-winged Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler,
Nashville Warbler, and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
--On May 4, Brown reported the following seen and heard around the banding
station/Holmes Grove (El Paso):  Black-and-white Warbler, Worm-eating
Warbler, Golden-winged Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, and Northern Parula.
--On May 4, Rutherford reported a Palm Warbler at Rose Pond (Pueblo).

Fremont County:
--A Field Sparrow and White-eyed Vireo were reported by Percival and the
Arkansas Valley Audubon field trip to the Canon City Riverwalk on April 29.
 Goff refound the White-eyed Vireo on the Riverwalk on April 30.
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Nuissl on CO 120 near Portland on
April 29.

Jefferson County:
--On April 23, Rouch reported 2 Broad-winged Hawks at the Dinosaur Ridge
Hawk Watch.  Slingsby reported a Broad-winged Hawk on April 24 at the Hawk
Watch.  On April 27, 1 Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Wuerthele and
Rouch. On April 29, Commercon reported a Broad-winged Hawk at the Hawk
Watch.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Kwong on the DFO Field Trip to
Prospect Park in Wheatridge on April 28.  The hawk flew over the group and
headed north.

Larimer County:
--A pair of Broad-winged Hawks was reported by DeFonso circling over the
Poudre River Trail just west of Riverbend Ponds Natural Area on April 28.

Montezuma County:
--A Lucy's Warbler was reported by Arnold in Yellowjacket Canyon on May 3.

Prowers County:
--2 m Northern Cardinals were reported by Leatherman at Lamar Community
College Woods (LCCW) on April 25 and on April 28 Leatherman reported 3
singing m Northern Cardinal at LCCW.
--A Red-bellied Woodpecker was reported by Leatherman at Willow Creek Park
and LCCW on April 23-25.  Leatherman reported that Red-bellied Woodpeckers
were also at Fairmount Cemetery during the 23 -29 April period.
--An ad f Northern Parula was reported by Leatherman at Fairmount Cemetery
on April 28.
--White-winged Doves were reported by Leatherman in Lamar east of Willow
Creek Park and at Riverside Cemetery on Maple St during the April 23 -29.
--A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by the Taylor Ranch north of the
ranch by the wind farm off of CR F  on April 29.

Pueblo County:
--2-3 calling Black Rails were reported by Percival in Eastern Pueblo
County on April 28.

Rio Grande County:
--A basic plumaged RED KNOT was reported by Simmons at Home Lake which is E
of Monte Vista on April 28.

Weld County:
--A Short-billed Dowitcher was reported by Mlodinow on CR 59 on May 3.
--A Palm Warbler was reported by Dunning at Crow Valley CG on April 29.
--A singing Curve-billed Thrasher was reported by Mlodinow at Crow Valley
by the ranger house N of CG on May 3.
--A f Indigo Bunting was reported by Mlodinow at Crow Valley CG on May 3.
--A GLOSSY IBIS was reported by Mlodinow on CO 74 e of Severance at
Baldridge Estates Pond on May 3.

Upcoming DFO Field Trips:

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, May 5 will be to South Platte River Trail
led by Jackie King (303-287-1644). Meet the leader at the parking area at
88th and South Platte River trail at 0730.  From I-76 take E 88th ave exit
go west on 88th for 1.6 miles then turn south at Colorado Blvd.  Turn left
again into the parking lot for the South Platte River Greenway trailhead.
 This trip may last past noon so bring lunch and plenty of drinking water.
 Leader is using a scooter for mobility so it will be accessible and easy,
level walking.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, May 6 will be to Pawnee National Grasslands
led by Tammy and Ira Sanders (303-278-7172).  Meet the leaders at 0600 at
the Division of Wildlife, 6060 No  Broadway.  Exit I-25 at 58th Ave., go
west 2 blocks to Broadway, then north 2 blocks to parking lot on the right.
 Bring lunch, snacks, bug spray and extra water for an all-day trip.  Be
sure to come with full gas tanks.  Call leaders to register for this trip.
