Hello, Birders. Earlier this hour, Friday, May 11th, I saw a female Northern Parula at Greenlee Preserve, Boulder County. She wasn't singing (duh), but I did hear her distinctive (it's relative...) flight call. The bird hung out for a while in the small grove of trees at 39.9968855 North, 105.114444 West. Then she flew off to the east, into the larger wedge of vegetation just north of Waneka Lake and just south of Greenlee "Reservoir."
Lots of warblers out there--although almost all Audubon'ses and Yellows. Also FOS Wilson's. Looks like a good 24-72 hours for warblering here in the northern Front Range, what with the imminent orographic lifting and all.
