While driving from Castlewood Canyon to Louviers this morning, my son Kyle stopped by the well-known “leaning tree” between Sedalia & Louviers. He reports seeing 2 Lewis’s Woodpeckers in the tree, along with a male Bullock’s Oriole. The woodpeckers have been absent from that area for a couple years, but now it seems they’re back!
