Hi all,

While birding in southeastern Chaffee County, Tayler Brooks and I found a
singing male Grace's Warbler, along FR 148 where it crosses Spring Gulch.
Actually, Tayler tells me that I should point out that she was actually the
one who found it... It was a very territorial bird, and in pretty much
perfect habitat for the species, so it wouldn't surprise me if there were
more in the area. In case anyone tried for it, note that FR 148 is a 4x4
road only.

Today while walking down Spring Gulch towards the Arkansas River I found a
single Veery in a grove of Cottonwoods, about 0.5 miles above the river.
There was also about the highest density of Hammond's Flycatchers I've seen
anywhere, but little else of interest.

Good birding,
