Adams County:
--A Northern Parula was reported by Mlodinow at Barr Lake on May 31.

Boulder County:
--A f Summer Tanager and singing Indigo Bunting were reported by Nunes at
Doudy Draw on May 30.
--A singing Indigo Bunting was reported by Nunes at the South Mesa Trail
Parking Lot on May 30.
--A singing Eastern Phoebe was reported by Mlodinow at Black Bear Hollow --
the park on the S side of Hwy 66 as you enter Lyons on June 2.
--A Green Heron, possibly 2, was reported by the Such boys on the First
Sunday bird walk at Walden/Sawhill Ponds in Boulder on June 3.

Delta County:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Garrison flying around Confluence Lake on
May 29.
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Horn at Hart's Basin on May 31.

Douglas County:
--A White-winged Dove was seen by Baumunk S of Chatfield SP along the
Highline Canal on May 26.  The White-winged Dove was seen again by Wait on
May 28.

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--Modesitt reported that a pair of Eastern Phoebes was seen on both sides
of the river from Kingfisher Bridge on May 31.

Eagle County:
--A f American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Filby on May 28 on
Basalt Mountain.  Zerbi relocated the woodpecker on May 31.
--Good numbers of American Three-toed Woodpeckers and a pair of
White-winged Crossbills were reported by Andrew Spencer N of Edwards along
FR 744 between Piney Guard Station and the private property just before
Marma Lake.  This is a 4x4 only road.

Huerfano County:
--A Hepatic Tanager and Indigo Bunting were reported by Neldner at the
Santa Clara Creek on June 1.
--A juv Black Phoebe was reported by Neldner at the Cuchara River crossing
on Virginia St in La Veta on June 1.

Jefferson County:
--Roller reported that a Wild Birds Unlimited/RMBO hike in Chatfield SP
found a Yellow-throated Vireo on May 31.  It is nesting with a Plumbeous
Vireo.  Directions:  Go south from Kingfisher Bridge on the west side of
the Platte River for 5 minutes until you come to a scarped off bare area on
the right.  Continue 50 yards where they are nesting.  Please DO NOT use
recording of either vireo and stay on the trail.  This is a very rare
pairing and we could learn a lot if the pair is allowed to nest.  The pair
was seen again by Modesitt on June 1.  The Yellow-throated Vireo was seen
by Shoffner on June 3.

La Plata County:
--A singing Northern Parula was found by Allerton on the Animas River Trail
in Durango on June 2.  It was behind Four Corners Riversport and Big Five
Sports.

Larimer County:
--A singing m Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Sparks about 450 ft W
of the Poudre Bike Trail and N College intersection in Fort Collins on May
28.
--A singing Northern Parula was reported by Nelson in Estes Park at the
corner of Lower Broadview Rd and Mary's Lake Rd on June 2.  It was singing
high in tall Ponderosa Pines.  Nelson reported that the parula was still
singing on June 3.
--3 American Three-toed Woodpeckers were reported by Severs in Rocky Mt NP
on a trail from Bear Lake to Bierstadt Lake on May 29.  They were found in
insect killed conifers.

Las Animas County:
--Snider reported that the White-winged Dove returned to her feeder on June
1.  Her address is 1200 Sante Fe Trail, Trinidad.

Logan County:
--A Glossy Ibis was reported by Tina Jones at Tamarack SWA, S of Hwy 138 on
CR 55 on a small pond on May 28.

Mesa County:
--8 Purple Martins on a line were reported by Korte on May 28 on 330 Rd E
past the Vega Lake turnoff.  Vega Lake is near Collbran.

Pueblo County:
--An EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE was reported by Bill Maynard at Chico Basin Ranch
on May 31.  It was in a small Cottonwood grove inside a fenced alfalfa
field about 1/2 mile south of Rose Pond.

Weld County:
--A f Black-throated Blue Warbler was reported by Modinow at Crow Valley on
May 31.
--A molting m Summer Tanager was reported by Kellner at Crow Valley on June
1.
--An ad Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Mlodinow at Fort Lupton riverside
park just N of CO 52 on May 31.
--A Worm-eating Warbler was reported by Lefko on the Greeley Poudre Bike
Trail between Island Grove and 25th Ave. on June 2.  It was where the trail
turns due north.
--A pair of Mexican Ducks and Green Heron were reported by Mlodinow at the
Firestone Gravel Pits on CR 24 3/4 just east of CR 9 3/4 on June 2.  Stay
on the road, the ponds are private.

Yuma County:
--At Bonny SWA on W and S side Goff reported Red-bellied Woodpeckers on May
31.
--At Bonny SWA at Foster's Grove Goff reported Great Crested Flycatcher on
May 31.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, June 9 will be to McCabe Meadows led by
Mary Cay Burger.  This park was formerly known as Parker Regional Park.
 Access the park by driving south on Parker Rd from Cherry Creek SP.  Cross
Main St in Parker still going south.  McCabe Meadows is located on the west
side of Parker Rd about a mile south of Parker's Main St.  Meet the leader
at 0730 at the park.  Will bird until about noon.  Bring water, hat and
snack.  Will look for nesting birds in a riparian habitat.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, June 10 will be to the Pine/Bailey areas led
by Chris Blakeslee (303-694-4670).  Meet the leader on the east side of the
RTD Park-n-Ride lot at South Wadsworth Blvd and Hampden (Hwy 285) at 0630.
 This lot is on the south side of Hampden and the west side of Wadsworth.
 Alternative:  meet the group at 0710 at the Pine Junction Country Store on
the west side of Hwy 285 at the stoplight in Pine Junction.  Bring lunch
and water for a fun filled day chasing mountain birds from Pine Valley
Ranch to Wellington Lake and ending with the Bailey Heron Rookery.  All day
trip; bring clothing for changeable mountain weather.
