Colorado birders,

We are two South Carolina birders planning to be in the Grand Junction area June 20-22. Black-chinned Sparrow would be a lifer for us. Please give us more specifics on where the sparrows are located in No Thoroughfare Canyon, if appropriate. We promise to be 100% ABA ethics birders while in your beautiful state.

Also, are Chukars still being seen in Coal Canyon beyond the power plant in Cameo?

Thanks,
Steve Compton

Black-chinned Sparrows - more begging

Not the sparrows, ME! I'm submitting a write-up to the Colorado Bird Records Committee and I would like to include ALL SIGHTINGS this year. Please let me know if you've seen the bird(s), the number of observers, approximate location, behaviors of note, and the date(s). Please please please. Your reward will be indescribable! ;-)

I just got a call from Cheryl Teuton about this - she and Dan Brooke are watching two adult BCSP feeding a young bird in No Thoroughfare Cyn, just above Devils Kitchen. Wow! Breeding confirmed! She said they are getting photos and will submit this to the CBRC!
