A quick note to Connie and friends, Late last night, I received a satellite image of our property sent by a friend of a friend. It shows that most of our structures, including our home survived the beastly fire. This is due to the valiant efforts of our firefighters that stayed through Saturday night and fought so hard for us. God bless them!!
I was taking photos of the flam owl at her nest when I smelled smoke early Saturday morning. Her tree may have been in an area that the flames missed, but won't know this until we are allowed to return home. I hope the Cordy Flycatcher nesting on our porch was able to withstand the fire and smoke. We are so thankful for our blessings as one of our neighbors lost her life that day. Connie...thank you so much and have a safe trip.
