Conditions with the fires in Colorado Springs have deteriorated rapidly. An explosion of flame crossed the front range in the west side of the city and a mass evacuation is underway. Visibility is so bad that we do not even know how bad things are. Smoke has reached our home on the east side as well as ash. Homes are burning in Peregrine and are being threatened in Mountain Shadows. Please stay away as traffic is jammed and there are dangerous conditions here.
