Good morning. Sorry for this post a day late. Like Mark Miller, we did not see the tern early yesterday, although there were several birders looking. After almost two hours Jeanne and I took a break to have some food in the picnic area by the visitor center.
A little after 10:30 we finally were able to see the bird on a buoy through our scope. Other birders in the same area also saw the bird. There was a lot of activity in the trees along the "shoreline". We saw orioles, Western Wood-Pewee, Yellow warbler, Eastern Kingbird, an assortment of starlings, grackles, RRBBs, cowbird, and Blue jays. Then it got hot and we repaired to Colorado Springs. Good birding, everyone. Mel and Jeanne Goff Colorado Springs -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
