Quite busy for the first 1-2 hours, before the heat set in. Gave us plenty
of birds to show to a group of high school students from Costa Rica. They
were particularly interested in species that they might see in CR, and we
were able to oblige with Yellow, Wilson's and Townsend's Warblers, Chats,
Catbird, and Empid Flycatchers, etc. Banded 42 of 13 species:

Mourning Dove 1

Western Wood-pewee 3

Willow Flycatcher 2

Least Flycatcher 1

House Wren 6

Gray Catbird 1

Yellow Warbler 8

Townsend's Warbler 2

MacGillivray's Warbler 1

Wilson's Warbler 11

Yellow-breasted Chat 3

Chipping Sparrow 1

Lark Sparrow 2

This week, open Tues, closed Wed, then open Thurs through Sun, weather
permitting. We have been starting our close early (by 10:30) due to the
heat.
