I have been watching and waiting. loads of gray-headed juncos have been moving through for a few weeks.
Just now my first Junco hyemalis mearnsi of the season! My previous early record here at my home feeders is 9/29 in 2006. Oh boy - now I have to re-remember how to separate all the races I get here - once again.
