Go outside and bird! Birding is exceptional currently. I arrived at
Belmar Park at 3:00 this afternoon. In 3 hours of time I had several
oddies. A *Palm Warbler* (PAWA) presented on the northwest side of the
park working between some Pinyon's and wild plums. Always look low 6' or
less from the ground. On the west side of the wetland pond to the north of
Kountze Lake along the horse trail I had a *Pine Warbler *(PIWA). 49 YRWA,
3 OCWA, and 1 WIWA were also present, this flock keeps on giving and
giving. As an added bonus a Brown Creeper (BRCR). The horse trail to the
north of Kountze and the west of the wetland pond is excellent,
specifically where the large Willow trunk has fallen into the Spruce. 25
species at Belmar, 14 species in the backyard.
