I found 74 species of birds today, while walking (five and a half hours) along 
the Arkansas River, below Pueblo Reservoir dam, east to the Pueblo Nature 
Center in Pueblo, Pueblo County.
 
Highlights in order of when I saw them:

South Side of the Arkansas River:
Eastern Phoebe - 1 West of Valco Ponds parking lot
Red-naped Sapsucker - 1 West of Valco Ponds parking lot
Warbling Vireo - 1 West of Valco Ponds parking lot
Townsend's Warbler - 3 West of Valco Ponds parking lot
Lazuli Bunting - 1 West of Valco Ponds parking lot
Black Phoebe - 2 East of Valco Ponds parking lot

North Side of the Arkansas River:
Western Scrub-Jay - 2 West of the Pueblo Nature Center
Mountain Chickadee - 1 West of the Pueblo Nature Center
Philadelphia Vireo - 2 together West of the Pueblo Nature Center
Townsend's Warbler - 4 West side of the Osprey Picnic Area
Yellow-throated Warbler - 1 West side of the Osprey Picnic Area
Brown Creeper - 1
Bobcat - 1
small Turtle - 1
