COBirders, Sorry for the late post. Yesterday, Lisa Edwards and I did some birding on the Eastern Plains and had the following highlights:
Kit Carson county: Flager SWA (bird numbers way down from my trip there last Sunday): 1 Broad-winged Hawk (adult) 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker 1 Palm Warbler 1 Yellow-breasted Chat (in the same exact spot as last Sunday) 2 Field Sparrows 3 Swamp Sparrows 1 White-throated Sparrow Over the town of Stratton there was an dark adult Broad-winged Hawk. In the park that is on the north side of Burlington, we had FIVE NASHVILLE WARBLERs in one tree!
