I had my FOS Cassiar Junco this morning at my feeders in Teller Co. What I
assume is a diagnostic male; dark gray flanks and back (no brown-pink color
as in other races); and a distinct dark hood.

This marks 6 races (all that I have ever reported at my home) this fall
already at my home:

. 10/9 - Slate-colored - hyemalis

. 10/17 - Cassiar - cimontanus

. 10/9 - Oregon - shufeldti [=montanus] (although this group seems
to have little current consensus among authorities and depending on whom you
follow, another race, thurberi, is to be found in CO, mostly confined to the
western slope, but I am keeping my out eye this year.)

. 9/21 - Pink-sided - mearnsi

. 10/8 - White-winged - aikeni

. (year round) Gray-headed - caniceps
