On a drive down to Colorado Springs from Woodland Park, along Hwy 24, my
wife and I first had one golden eagle fly over at Green Mtn Falls.

Then a second flew over above Manitou Springs. Both mature adults.

Is there a movement underway? It is rare to see one along this stretch of
highway, let alone two about 7 miles apart.

Do these birds 'move' seasonally? Altitudinally? From alpine tundra to
plains?
