Lin Lilly, his granddaughter and I birded in Pueblo City Park and Valco Ponds
in Pueblo today.  Pueblo City Park was somewhat quiet, we did see a flock of 25
or so Evening Grosbeaks, a couple of Pygmy Nuthatches, an adult male
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and two Yellow-rumped Warblers, among a few other
birds.

We then walked west of the Valco Ponds parking lot, not too much of interest to
report, except for a Say's Phoebe, and an Osprey.  There was a good number of
Buffleheads, Gadwall, a few Hooded Mergansers, and other waterfowl on the Fish
Hatchery Ponds.  We saw the usual sparrows, White-crowned, Song, and American
Tree Sparrows as well.

The Warning Part:
When I was about to leave the Valco Ponds parking lot along Hwy 96, I noticed
that a fisherman's car was broken into, he said, that he had a fishing pole in
site, so that is what was stolen.  Anyone parking there or anywhere, should try
to hide their important equipment.  I've seen broken glass in this parking lot
before, so I typically don't park there or don't spend a lot of time parked in
that parking lot.
