Yesterday I found an adult basic Black-legged Kittiwake at Lake Martin in Lathrop State Park. I returned to Lake Martin this afternoon but could not refind the adult BLKI. Instead of the adult, there was a juvenile Black-legged Kittiwake at Lake Martin in with dozens of Ring-billed Gulls.
A trip to Lake Trinidad SP this morning produced a Surf Scoter (either juv or fm).
