Hello, Birders.

Hannah, Andrew, and Kei just called with the breathless news that they are
currently observing, right now, this very instant, today, Saturday, Nov. 17th,
a stunning drake Wood Duck along Boulder Creek, Boulder County, just downstream
from the Broadway Street bridge. The verbal description sounds good (Aix
galericulata has been ruled out), and photographs are being obtained. They
wanted you all to know about this.

Me? I'm stuck in the office, working on black-hawk and gull manuscripts for the
January 2013 issue of Birding. Some people have all the fun . . .
