This morning, after having a surprise Hermit Thush foraging in the yard, I took 
a five minute drive to enjoy the Brambling at Bear Creek Lake Park.  In the two 
and a half hours that I was there, the bird came in on a consistent basis to 
feed.  Most of the time, he came in for very short visits, but other times he 
would give great looks, oblivious to the many birders that came and went.  We 
also had nice looks at at Common Redpoll that came in with a large flock of 
American Goldfinches.  The bird never came down to feed and departed after a 
short visit, taking off with the flock of goldfinches. Distant shots of the
