Hi again, COBirders, While watching a dead yard for the redpoll return (a male, BTW), a second redpoll arrived by itself, a female, and picked at millet seeds for about 5 minutes (at about 9:45). Got many pictures in bad light. It then flew off between the houses, going quite a ways away.
I think I saw the male returning through the cover of aspen branches - and just then a HYm Cooper's Hawk flew in and occupied the yard (more pics), so, of course, no passerines are currently visible, but maybe good things are going to continue.
