First post, not sure if it's okay to just jump in here like this, but I have information on this sighting.
First off, yes, this is Jeffco. I just got back from this location and they're still there. The pond is the Hiwan Number 4 Reservoir, and it's very easy access (I-70 W -> exit 352 to Evergreen Parkway/Hwy 74 -> right on Squaw Pass -> pond is a mile up the road on the left, in a valley/depression behind a fence) if you've never seen a Trumpeter before and want to! However, a nice woman driving by stopped and chatted with me for a few minutes about them, and there's some information everyone should have: 1) They 'live there', apparently. I don't know whether that means fully domesticated or just semi-wild befriended regulars, but if you pull up the reservoir on Google Maps and zoom all the way in, you can actually see them in the satellite imagery, on the far left side of the pond, so they've obviously been there a while. 2) As of this morning they've started wandering out onto the road; the neighbors suspect the water pump is having problems in the cold and they're wandering looking for water.
