Hello, I arrived at 6:50AM on 1/8/13, topped off Mark's thistle feeder and loaded the area with seed. At 7:12AM the *Golden-crowned* made the first appearance, 2 more appearances in 2 hours of observation, all spp. of Juncos present including a single Cassiar. Metro birding as follows (taxonomic order): Greater White-fronted Goose (1) Centennial Park 1/7/13 Snow Goose (1) (white-morph adult) Centennial Park 1/2/13 Ross's Goose (1) (white-morph juvenile) Fort Logan National Cemetery 1/2/13 Northern Pintail (1) S Platte River Trail-Florida to Evans 1/4/13 Northern Pintail (11) Mary Carter Greenway-Union to Bowles 1/7/13 Canvasback (3) Belmar Park 1/8/13 Thayer's Gull (1) (winter adult) Centennial Park 1/7/13 Hairy Woodpecker (1) Morrison Park 1/8/13 Merlin (1) Mary Carter Greenway Trail-Union to Bowles 1/7/13 Mountain Chickadee (1) Hudak Yard 1/4/13 Bushtit (3) Hudak Yard 1/5/13 Brown Creeper (1) Morrison Park 1/8/13 American Dipper (1) Bear Creek Trail-Wadsworth to Kipling 1/3/13 American Dipper (3) Morrison Park 1/8/13 The birds that will hold in my opinion are the Pintail at Mary Carter, Canvasback at Belmar and Dipper at Morrison Park.
