Hi COBirders,
I have spent considerable time at the Discovery Museum in Ft. Collins and have taken photographs of several birds that I think are contenders for Hoary Redpoll. The links to my series of photographs are below. As always, comments are welcome, and I hope these photographs are helpful to those of you looking at redpolls this winter. Here is the Hoary I saw on Jan. 7th and submitted to the CBRC: <http://www.pbase.com/hopko/hoary_redpoll_ft_collins_2013> http://www.pbase.com/hopko/hoary_redpoll_ft_collins_2013 Here is possible HORE. Photos taken Jan. 7 and probably the same bird as above: <http://www.pbase.com/hopko/possible_hoary_redpoll> http://www.pbase.com/hopko/possible_hoary_redpoll Here is a bird that is causing some disagreement.
