Today Diane Carter, Deb Wittwer, Gwen from the Boulder Bird Club and I found a small flock of Rusty Blackbirds on the east shore of the Platte under the I-76 bridge. I had been advised of the location a few minutes earlier by another group of three friendly and very helpful birders who joined us in enjoying our find when the flock flew to the west (our) side of the creek. I had previously made two unsuccessful trips to find the blackbirds, but Diane had found them continually vocalizing immediately adjacent to the trail just north of the bridge on Thursday.
