COBirders,

First, thank you to Bill Maynard for posting, although inadvertently ;), the
Bohemian Waxwings along highway 115 between Colorado Springs and Penrose.

While coming up on Barret Road from the south, where there is a large sign for
Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, I saw a large flock of birds and immediately
knew what they were.  Eventually they landed on the east side of 115 in a large
dead Pine.  I counted the best I could as it was a fair ways off the road and
counted at least 281 birds.  There were more below the large group and there
were some still coming from the west side of 115 so I am not sure how many
total there actually are.

The last time we had the big BOWA invasion there were maybe 1000+ birds along
highway 115.
