The 11th annual High Plains Snow Goose Festival is upon us! The keynote speaker is Richard Crossley, and the field trips are fantastic. All festival events are based out of Lamar, Prowers County, which is, of course, one of the birdiest places in Colorado. If you've never been to the Snow Goose festival, you owe it to yourself to do so. The festival has emerged as a first-rate birding event, but it also retains its fun, down-home appeal.
