Greetings All,
The Long-tailed Duck was still present at the Frederick Rec Area, Weld County, yesterday. Today, Panama Reservoir was swarming with birds. The only rarity was a singing Lincoln's Sparrow at road's end. However, impressive, were the nearly 2000 RB Gulls (not a single larger gull could be detected), 1000+ Common Mergs (with 30 RB Mergansers), several thousand geese (both Canada and Cackler + 1 Snow), 800+ Redhead, and 21 Bald Eagles. Interestingly, there was nary a Canvasback nor goldeneye to be found, surprising with so many birds about. No coots, and again, no larger gulls.
