On behalf of Ken Allen, I am posting the presence of a male Varied Thrush in
Fort Collins (Larimer). This bird has been coming to feeders in Ken's backyard
since and was seen today. How much longer it stays is anyone's guess.
The address is 1719 Ticonderoga Drive, which is several blocks east of Lemay
Avenue between Horsetooth and Harmony. He asks that you call first
(970/225-0988 (home) and 970/443-8093 (cell). Mornings have generally been
best, but with patience, the bird seems to show up periodically all day long.
Decent photos through windows in the sun room are possible, but out of respect
to Ken, I would suggest that "sessions" be restricted to a reasonable length of
time.
