Say's Phoebe showed up in west Longmont last Saturday (3/16). There's just the one, and he has been singing on the rooftops in the morning.
Killdeer arrived on Sunday the 17th. One pair, so far, has been circling around the area of Blue Mountain Elementary in west Longmont. A rancher friend north of Ft. Collins called me early this morning to report that she had about 75 Sandhill Cranes sitting in a pasture for a short time.
