Hi Cobirds, We have a pair of nesting Great-horned owls in our open space. Does anyone know if this spring storm will be a risk to their success? They have been sitting for about 3 to 4 weeks.
I found it interesting that these owls are nesting in a Cooper's hawk nest that has been active the past two years. The Cooper's are not back yet, but I have wondered if they will overlap. This nest is in an open space active with joggers, dog walkers, etc. One day I saw a group of 10 people looking at the owls which concerned me, but the owls have stayed put.
