Saw a nice assortment of birds at Sandsage SWA on April 7th.  Sandsage  is 
about 5 miles west of Wray, about a mile south of US Hwy 34.  County  Roads 
CC and 33.75.
Eastern phoebe
2 Eastern bluebirds
Red-bellied woodpecker
Several Downy woodpeckers
Several Northern flickers, both yellow and red
2 Great blue herons on the river
~ 6 Mallards
4 Turkeys
Flock of White-crowned sparrows
Turkey Vulture - who flew over a couple of times then came down to a  
road-killed cottontail.
Red-tailed hawk
Great horned owl
Kestrels copulating
Eurasian collared doves courting
Red-winged blackbirds
~ 8 Pheasants
Northern harrier
Several Blue jays
American goldfinch
Western meadowlarks
Off the property, I saw an osprey eating a fish atop a pole at US Hwy 34  
and CR EE.
Also saw 8 - 10 rough-legged hawks along US Hwy 36 on the way from  Denver.
