Hi all

 

Linda Vidal, Mary Harris and I birded Spring Park reservoir El Jebel on this
calm, sunny, windless day.  

 

Common Loon 3+ (2 of them in full alternate plumage, 1 in full basic)

Barrow's Goldeneye c10

Hooded Merganser 1 female

Canvasback 2 (1 male, 1 female)

Eared Grebe c100

Western Grebe c10

Wilson's Snipe 1 heard

Wilson's Phalarope 2

Lesser Yellowlegs 1

Long-billed Dowitcher 2 in transitional plumage

Willet 1

Killdeer c6

 

Tree Swallows only c10,  and no other swallows

American Pipit 5

 

The hundreds of ducks consisted of (in addition to above and in roughly
descending order of numbers) Green-winged Teal, Ring-necked Ducks, Lesser
Scaup, Mallard, Gadwall, Buffleheads, Northern Shoveler, American Wigeon,
Ruddy Ducks, Redheads, Common Goldeneye, Cinnamon Teal and  Northern
Pintail.
