I put out a hummingbird feeder today, thinking the hummers were going to be awfully hungry when they arrive. I was at Chautauqua yesterday in Boulder and didn't see or hear ONE broad-tail. And as if on queue, a male showed up this afternoon, VERY thirsty at my feeder in Louisville. I don't usually see them in the spring, only when they are coming back down the mountain in mid-summer.
