Just biked around City Park in Denver and found no sign of the Cattle Egret that was here yesterday. Of course, that doesn't mean it's not around.
Naturally, I was rewarded for my efforts with a few new year birds for my Denver County list: a grackle-attacking Cooper's Hawk, a White-breasted Nuthatch, and a Hairy Woodpecker. Bonaparte's Gulls and Greater White-fronted Goose continue. Yellow-rumped Warblers finally around.
