Hi Seth, all

European Goldfinch has been a very popular cagebird over the years, due to
beautiful plumage and a great song.

Whether it is still common in captivity now, I am not sure, but a quick
check of Google for "european goldfinch for sale" reveals plenty of adverts!

Go see it by all means, but don't expect to add it to your wildbird lists.

Subject: [cobirds] European Goldfinch, Bellvue, Larimer County
Importance: High

I know at this point in time the species "doesn't count" on the ABA list,
but a beautiful male European Goldfinch has been seen at feeder in the
neighborhood near Lory State Park, is this species seen commonly in CO?
Feedback thoughts? Are they that common in captivity?

Also no luck with the the Chestnut-collared Longspur's on the Poudre Trail
near Timberline, but 2 Broad-winged Hawk's were the AM highlight.
