I found a carcass of a lovely little birdie in my friend's backyard (a few blocks east of downtown Boulder) about two weeks ago, but it was a bit too mangled for me to make a positive ID. To my amateur eyes, it appears to be a waterthrush, but that is highly unlikely. Heartbreaking, whatever it is.
