Mary Geder and I birded May 5th, during the morning, in Bent county. At the
intersection of county road JJ and County road 16 we watched for a long time
35 Ibis feeding. One was a Glossy Ibis. The eye, in different lighting
conditions was dark brown, legs were grayish with pinkish/reddish joints. The
white border which goes behind the eye and under the chin, found in the
White-faced Ibis, did not go behind the eye or under the chin in this bird. The
lore area and facial skin was dark gray. Tina JonesLittleton, Jefferson County,
CO
