The DFO Spring Count trip today to Chatfield Reservoir State Park concluded after 13.5 hours and 109 (+1 empid sp?).
Nothing rare. The only "eastern" bird was a white-striped race of White-throated Sparrow. I believe this is the first time a White-throated Sparrow has been found on a spring or fall bird count at Chatfield. A number of migrants are not "in" as yet. The trees still do not have any leaves. A few cottonwoods have "catkins" though.
