Pretty good weekend for bright new birds for the year at my place near Lyons.
Sat. 5-11 Bullock's Oriole, Western Tanager Sun. 5-12 Lesser Goldfinch, Lewis' Woodpecker, Black-headed Grosbeak, Evening Grosbeak, Brown-headed Cowbird 1 male each except the Evening Grosbeak (1f) and the Woodpecker (1?). Pinyon jays have been calling daily for the last week, but only dipping into the feeders once in a while. Seen 4 max. Pine Siskins are eating me out of thistle.probably have 65 lurking. Last time I saw a Junco here was Thursday, so I think they've moved on and/or up. d Raymond Davis - at 6,000 ft.
