I birded Barr Lake this morning about the same time that Loch and Mark C. did. In addition to the Red-headed Woodpecker (stubbornly refusing to be photographed) that Loch reported, there was a Western Wood-Pewee near the banding station and a Warbling Vireo at the beginning of the boardwalk to the gazebo. Eastern Kingbirds were also present and a female Brown-headed Cowbird was peering into a Bullock's Oriole nest.
At County Line Road and Baseline east of Lafayette, 36 White-faced Ibises were feeding vigorously in a wetland on the south side of Baseline (CO 7). -- Chuck Hundertmark 2546 Lake Meadow Drive Lafayette, CO 80026 303-604-0531 Cell: 720-771-8659 [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
