Greetings All

Today Nick Moore took a tour of Weld County
The highlight was an adult NEOTROPIC CORMORANT late this afternoon (before the
thunderstorms rolled in) along the entrance road to St Vrain State Park, in the
large pond on the right, which is also inhabited by a long-staying Mute Swan.
Photos were obtained. Also in this pond was a late Horned Grebe and pair of
Canvasback

At Crow Valley there was
1 male AMERICAN REDSTART
1 OVENBIRD
1 PLUMBEOUS VIREO
6 Green-tailed Towhees
and a modest but nice assortment of normal migrants

At Lower Latham, on the reservoir there were 75+ Black Terns and a Common Tern
(and a dozen or so Forster's)
Along the road at the s. edge of the reservoir there was a WHIMBREL

At Weld County Road 59 Pond the Cinnamon x Blue-winged Teal hybrid male persists

At Kodak SWA s. of Windsor there was a MONTANE White-breasted Nuthatch carrying
food to a nest hole.

At Firestone Gravel Pits, a tardy GREATER SCAUP female

On private property, a very tardy MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE and a GLOSSY IBIS.

Good Birding
