Last night's full moon and west winds, pushed most of the rare eastern migrants
away from Chico Basin Ranch (fee area) today.

There was a female American Redstart at the banding station in El Paso County.
There was a singing young male American Redstart (sounding like a bay-breasted
warbler) or two at the Headquarters, a female Townsend's Warbler, and a singing
Red-eyed Vireo there too in Pueblo County.  At Rose Pond, also in Pueblo County
an adult male American Redstart was seen today as well, and the Horned Grebe
continues as well.  There were some singing Willow Flycatchers at the banding
station too.  Red-headed Woodpeckers were at the Headquarters and the banding
station.

With Westerly winds in the forecast for the while, I'm guessing the rare
eastern migrants there, might be few and far between for the rest of the month,
though I'm sure there will be a few more "goodies" before spring migration is
completely over.
