Cole Wild called at 2:15 PM, today, Sunday, May 2nd, to report a Yellow-crowned Night-Heron in the bed of Frenchman's Creek, just below the Lions' Fishing Hole in eastern Holyoke, Phillips County, Colorado. There are no previous records of this night-heron for Phillips County, according to the CFO County Birding Website. Nearby were White-rumped Sandpipers (10), Semipalmated Sandpipers (2), and a Black-necked Stilt, also a rarity in that most attractive of Colorado's many fine counties.
