I'd like to thank Norm for posting this and would like to add my 2cents.
Wild Bird Rehab Center had 3000 birds pass through it's doors last
summer and has an excellent release percentage. I volunteer there when I can
and it's an overwhelming task of feeding, cleaning and healing.
Other than the Greenwood Animal Rehab shelter in Lyons, Deb is the
only licensed wild bird rehabilitator on the front range. After Candace's
tragic death last year, the Wild Bird Center on Colorado Blvd had to be closed
and because Deb was the store manager, her income was gone. That adds to
the financial woes of the center because Deb used that income made during
the winter to support her as she worked feverishly from spring to fall.
Deb loves new volunteers and I guarantee you that it's a overwhelming
but satisfying experience!
Any money you give will help an incredible undertaking succeed!

Good afternoon all! I wanted to put out a call for assistance for this
exceptionally worthwhile cause. Many of you are probably already familiar
with this organization, but for those who are not, Wild Bird is a rescue and
rehab operation that deals only with birds. They take in every size, shape
and description of injured, orphaned or abandoned bird. And like so many
such organizations, they do great work on a shoestring budget.

Wild Bird is in the process of moving from its present location in
southeast Denver to a new facility on 44th Avenue in Wheatridge. They have
acquired the property and preliminary work and permitting are under way, but
they
could sure use some financial help. To send a monetary donation:

PO Box 101133
Denver, CO 80250

To donate materials, volunteer at the center, or get general information,
visit _www.wildbirdrehab.com_ (http://www.wildbirdrehab.com/)

I hope some of you will jump in and help out this great group. And if
anyone happens to know of an individual or organization that might want to
help in a bigger way, well........they will need a very substantial amount of
money to complete this project.

Thanks in advance for anything you can do!

(And of course the usual disclaimer that I have no financial interest in
this organization)
